Hello readers!

I am Chelsea Bates, and I am 23 years old. 

I met my husband in high school, and we have been together 6 years! We were married in 2011, and in April 2014 I gave birth to our first child at home! Amelia is the light of our life, and we are so blessed to have her. We live in Utah, and live as naturally as we can. I am an avid crafter, DIYer, baker, and happy homemaker! 

In past years I have taught preschool, and been a nanny, but since having Amelia, I have enjoyed being a stay at home mom! I have also gone to school for yoga teacher training, and really enjoy practicing yoga in my life and sharing it with others. 

Other than being a mother, my greatest passion is birth and pregnancy. I would definitely call myself a birth junkie, as I am quite obsessed! If you ever feel inclined to share your birth story with me, PLEASE DO IT! I love hearing all of the birth stories! I could read them all day!

 In the future I have plans to practice as a birthing/midwives assistant. I love sharing my knowledge and passion with others. Most of all I love normalizing the abnormal, because I feel those things shouldn't be seen as abnormal! 

I decided to start blogging because I absolutely love to write, It has always been one of my strongest passions, and I have mostly put that into writing stories and poetry. However, for the past year I have been considering blogging as I often get lots of questions from other parents and women about things I am doing and am passionate about. I figured it would be fun and easy to have all those answers in one place, and blogging is a great way for me to be able to combine all the things I really enjoy doing. I hope you enjoy reading from my blog as much as I love writing it!
